The services we provide are delivered by individuals with learning disabilities or mental health problems.
Benefits to customers
When visiting your home or organisation, our clients or trainee gardeners are under constant supervision by a permanent
member of staff experienced in both horticulture and working with our client group.
As part of our service, we encourage clients to interact with customers to ensure the work meets your needs. Our
services are also ideally suited to those who find it difficult to maintain their own garden. Clients and staff are
very happy for our customers to work along side them, allowing keen gardeners to remain involved.
Benefits to clients
Our clients receive support from the project in order to gain self-respect and confidence. They also receive
training in horticulture activities, allowing them to develop skills which will help them secure employment in the future.
At
present, trainee gardeners are paid only travel expenses and minimal subsistence, which ensures any financial support received
by the individual is not affected.
